  • Owl species - A large owl flew in front of us on the trail, which could have been a Great-horned or a Barred.

  • Blue Jay
  • Carolina Chickadee
  • Carolina Wren - heard only
  • Ruby-crowned Kinglet - heard and seen (makes a typewriter-like clicking)
  • American Robin - Many Robins were in the area and we saw several large flocks fly over, as well as some individuals perched in the trees.
  • Northern Mockingbird
  • European Starling
  • American Pipit
  • Cedar Waxwing - One flock briefly flew over as we left the flood plain property.
  • Yellow-rumped Warbler - Many were seen flitting in the trees and around the edge of the creek.
