Fireworks & WilCO Burn Ban

Fireworks are prohibited in most of the NASWC area. It is illegal to use fireworks inside the City of Austin and within 5,000 feet of the city limits (the ETJ) – subject to a fine of more than $500.  This restriction and the Williamson County restrictions do apply to our NASWC area.  Visit Wilco Fireworks Safety for more information, and to view the interactive GIS map for fireworks restrictions.

Additionally, Williamson County has issued a Burn Ban effective June 21 – September 19 due to drought conditions, heat and other wildfire conditions in the county. Visit WilCO website for Burn Ban information.

Please follow the fireworks restrictions in our neighborhoods.  Fireworks can adversely affect our pets — this is one of the busiest times of the year for lost animals to be taken to the shelters.  Be sure your animals are safe.  And be mindful that fireworks may also impact neighbors affected by PTSD.
