Class of 2020 Graduation Parade – Saturday, May 23

The Forest North neighborhood has planned a small parade for all of our graduating seniors. The parade will take place on Saturday, May 23rd from 10:30am – 11:30am. This is a parade for all graduating seniors from High School and University.

Seniors should meet at the Meadowheath parking lot for the Town & Country fields at 10:00am. If arriving by car, please wait in your car. If arriving by foot, please find a safe spot, that is at least 6 feet away from all other people, to sit and wait. Parade organizers will approach you with additional instructions. Seniors are encouraged to wear caps and gowns or other celebratory clothing – keep it clean, please.

The Jollyville Fire Department has graciously agreed to allow some students to ride on two fire engines. Other students will ride in trailers pulled by neighborhood vehicles. Priority placement will be provided to people with mobility challenges, and then on a first-come-first-serve basis. Seniors are welcome to ride bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, etc. during the parade.

Parents and friends should not accompany your seniors to the Town & Country fields. Please choose a place along the parade route to cheer on our kids. Signs, flags, balloons, etc. are encouraged. Candy throwing is not. Please do not throw candy or toys into the street during the parade.
Please observe all social distancing guidelines during the parade. We want this to be fun, and safe, for our kids.

Below is the parade route map. The route is approximately 5 miles long.

Please visit the Forest North Friends – Facebook group for more details or to ask any questions you may have.

Congratulations to all of the graduating seniors of 2020!
Love,
Your Parents, Family, and Friends
