Speeding on Broadmeade

NASWC has contacted Pct. 1 Commissioner Terry Cook to address speeding on Broadmeade. Neighbors have expressed concerns about an increase in the number of vehicles speeding, including a rollover incident which occurred in mid-March.

Commissioner Cook and WilCO Sheriff’s Department are working together to control traffic in our neighborhoods. Part of this effort will include occasionally posting the digital radar signs indicating “Your Speed” as drivers approach the signs, as well as increasing patrols by the Sheriff’s Dept. in our neighborhoods.

Many families are out-and-about — walking, riding bicycles, tricycles, scooters, skates, etc. around the neighborhood streets and sidewalks. During the school year, the sidewalk along Broadmeade is a major pathway for students going to-and-from school.

We urge all drivers — whether you live here or just cut-through between major roadways bordering our community — to please watch for neighbors who are outside — drive slowly through our streets — and abide by the posted speed limits throughout the neighborhood. For more information, please contact NASWC.
